John Young's multichannel audio work Le Chant en dehors will feature in Habitat Sonore, a series of four programmes of acousmatic music curated by the Akousma Festival and installed in the Listening Room of Centre PHI, Montréal from 27 September to 22 October 2023. The intimate listening space allows for the shared experience of deep immersion in spatial audio. Other composers included in the series are Hans Tutschku, Natasha Barrett, Hildegard Westerkamp, Laurie Spiegel, Nicola Giannini, Francisoc López, Panayiotis Kokoras, Louise Dufort, Robert Normandeau, Ana Dall’Ara-Majek, France Jobin, Christian Bouchard, Monique Jean, Line Katcho, Marcelle Deschênes, Roxanne Turcotte, David Ledoux, Mélanie Frisoli and Simon Chioini.
