Prof. Bret Battey and PhD candidate Stefano Catena have chapters in a new book Collaboration, Engagement, and Tradition in Contemporary and Electronic Music: NoiseFloor Perspectives, just published by Routledge. The book’s contents have been developed from selected papers given at Staffordshire University’s NoiseFloor conference.
Samvaran Rai, a student on the MA in Music Technology and Innovation programme has had his work With Time accepted for the Noisefloor UK Conference at Staffordshire University in May—an event which regularly attracts the participation of musicians and sound artists from around the world. With Time is a 9-minute radiophonic narrative in surround audio reflecting on the mind’s struggle to separate itself from time.
