Louise Rossiter Concerts in Austria

On 13-14 December DMU PhD alumna Louise Rossiter will give four concerts in Gars am Kamp, Austria at The Temple of Sound in a collaboration between Austrian and British composers and as art of the series of concerts promoted by the Russolo Foundation in conjunction with the British Electroacoustic Music Network.

The concerts will feature music by Adam Stanovic, John Young, Jonty Harrison, Pete Stollery, Cameron Naylor and Louise Rossiter alongside a showcase of Gabriel Prokofiev’s Oscillations label. https://gars-electronica.art/en/

Louise will also be launching her new album Der Industriepalast - the culmination of her work exploring the infographics of Fritz Kahn.

Louise Rossiter at Sens Festival, Leipzig

 MTI PhD graduate Louise Rossiter travelled to Leipzig in December 2023 as a featured artist at the Zentrum für immersive Medienkunst, Musik und Technologie's Sens  festival https://zimmt.net/sens/. She gave a featured guest lecture on expectation in acousmatic music alongside an overview of her recent compositional project, Der Industriepalast.  She also performed a solo concert on ZiMMTs 32-channel dome system, consisting of a number of pieces from Der Industriepalast. This included the final piece of the suite, I/O, which received its premiere at the concert.

 

It is expected that the entire Der Industriepalast Suite will be published on the Oscillations label, led by Gabriel Prokofiev, later in 2024.

Over the course of 2023, Louise has been a jury member in international composition contests, including: Musica Nova, CIME, and Prix Russolo.

Launch of Louise Rossiter's new EP

MTI alumna Louise Rossiter will launch her new EP Der Industriepalast on Saturday 15 April at 8pm in St Andrews Church, Jarrom Street, Leicester.  The EP is released on the Oscillations label. The launch will feature an immersive performance of Rossiter's work—based on Fritz Kahn's illustrations which pioneered the idea of infographics—and a set by Gabriel Prokofiev - founder of the Oscillations label.
